SUPPORT TO DEVELOPMENT OF THE AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT SECTOR'S FIVE YEAR PLAN 2006-2010

Since March 2005, support has been provided to the development of the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector's Five Year Plan 2006-2010. A joint GoV-Donor Task Force, comprising of representatives from different MARD Departments and consultants nominated by the most active donors involved in the sector activities, was established early March 2005 and is now on progress under framework of the MARD International Support Group (ISG).

The Task Force held various meetings to discuss and prepare the Synthesis Report on international comments to the sector's FYP. At the same time, it assists MARD and MARD's Departments to develop a logframe for the FYP. Many precious comments from national and international partners to the documents have been received. Also, the Task Force, coordinated by ISG Secretariat, successfully completed preparation and facilitation of the Consultation Workshop 18 March 2005.

MARD-Donor Consultation Workshop 18 March 2005: Successfully held with commitments from donors and MPI. The workshop was presented by nearly 150 representatives of GoV relevant agencies and donors. For the Minutes of the Workshop, click here. (For Vietnamese version, click here)
